Green Island products are natural cleaning products and organic cleaners that are based on all natural ingredients: baking soda, vinegar, lemon juice, salt, cream of tartar (a product made from grapes during the process of making wine), ethanol (alcohol), and plant materials, such as extracts, essential oils, waxes, powders and gels. We use vegetable emulsifiers and only natural preservatives in our natural cleaning products and organic cleaners. We use only natural colorants. Green Island green cleaning products are all natural cleaning products and our body care products are also all natural formulations. These are not the typical household cleaning products - they are far more effective and far safer. See our Product List for a description of the many products we offer. By using true essential oils and other plant materials we aim to provide you with a health benefit as well as a fresh, wonderful scent. All our products are 100% natural.
Our all natural body care products are made with nothing but biological ingredients. We use no chemical stabilizers, emulsifiers, fillers or liquid plastics. As base (carrier) oils we use vegetable oils such as sweet almond, apricot kernel, sesame, sunflower, jojoba, grape seed, avocado, emu, rosehip and borage oil. Essential oils, extracts made from local curative herbs, aloe gel and vegetable waxes are our active ingredients.
Green Island is continuously researching and expanding its line of household cleaning products. We aim to be as environmentally friendly as possible, not only with regard to the products we offer you, but also with regard to the ingredients, the production process and the packaging. Green Island uses recycled materials as much as is possible without compromising health and hygiene. Although our essential oils come from all over the world, we use some medicinal herbs and plants that grow on the Caribbean islands and have been known for centuries for their medicinal use, such as Aloe Vera and Artemisia (Ambrosia paniculata). We make our own Aloe Gel and Cactus Gel, among others.
